dADIRRI ;
deep listening

The activity or spiritual practice of Dadirri has its equivalence in many other Indigenous groups in Australia. Dadirri establishes a respectful, healing environment based on the ancient Aboriginal tradition of mindfulness and the process of deep listening. It serves as a foundation for self-care, the development of communities of care, and communities of practice in all trauma recovery work.

Dadirri practice provides tools for understanding and evaluating self and community in trauma recovery through various key Indigenous educational and therapeutic approaches, including storytelling, story mapping, counselling, sand-play, music, art therapy, movement, and guided imagery.

For more information on Dadirri you can go to the Miriam Rose Foundation, here.

and to learn how to incorporate Dadirri into you work you can explore the courses on offer by Judy Atkinson and her team, here

Our deep listening sessions are available in person or via Zoom call.

I offer my presence to witness you with deep listening and/or debriefing. We may sit in a circle, create an altar, and I will listen to you.

I am here to help you unpack your experiences and sit with you so that you feel held as you allow your feelings to be released. These sessions are for women of all ages and experiences, including those who have experienced pregnancy, birth, loss, fertility struggles, sexual trauma, parenting, childhood trauma, or simply whatever you feel called to share. It’s not always the heavy stuff - sometimes we just need someone to witness our joy and elation.

Sessions may include access to resources, referrals, journal prompts, and check-ins.*

We understand that everyone’s situation is unique. Reduced rates are available for those facing financial hardship, and payment plans can also be arranged upon request.

Our hourly rate is $70. Discounts for multiple session bookings may also be available.
