About the event
Come and join us in a sharing circle for women.Â
To gather, Together, We sit to listen, learn, to see and hear ourselves in others, to drop our mask, let ourselves be seen and allow ourselves to be vulnerable by sharing whatever needs to flow out, in a safe space around the warm fire, directly upon the earth, here in Mitchelton.
By taking our time using the talking piece, we remember what it feels like to slow down, and be fully present, speaking our truths*, crying, laughing and allowing whatever no longer serves us to be burned up by the fire, transmuting into ash that will gently fall back to the earth as fertiliser to nourish the next phase of our lives.Â
Some form of deep, slow, relaxing, or exiciting breathing may be apart of this evening together.
And let there always be chocolate and Tea!
As it's winter and it tends to be chilly! Please know that this experience will be around the fire, so please bring a blanket/Rug up, BYO mug for tea, snacks are welcome too but not a necessity.Â
We have created tickets for this event using the sliding scale model where you have the option to purchase a ticket that sits your current financial situation, please know this is based on a trust system and limited tickets are availiable, please read the picture to see where you sit**; The Green Bottle was created by community healing practitioner and astroherbalist Alexis J. Cunningfolk of Worts + Cunning Apothecary. I highly recommend checking out Alexis's website for more information on sliding scale philosophy and practice. The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice — Worts + Cunning Apothecary | Intersectional Herbalism + Magickal Arts (wortsandcunning.com)
**Basic needs include food, housing, and transportation. **Expendable income might mean you can buy coffee at a shop, new clothes, go to a movie, etc. each month.
*Often verbalising our thoughts is enough to let go of the heavy things we carry around day to day and by doing so, as well as listening to others share their struggles we can find our own wisdom and guidance needed to pick ourself up and continue along our own life path.
**The sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services/care/etc.
